Problem Gambling

National Action for Awakening Uganda (Sisimuka Uganda) promotes awareness of problem gambling especially from sports betting shops and slot machine operators, provides resources, counselling, and education on problem gambling, gambling disorders, gambling laws while maintaining moderate (as opposed to strict) neutrality on the issue of legalized gambling.

Our goals are to:

Promote public awareness of problem gambling and gambling disorders.
Advocate and lobby for the strengthening and tightening of the Lotteries and Gaming Act, 2016 and related regulations.
Ensure that gambling companies such as casinos, sports betting companies comply with the law of the land.
Identify ‘high risk’ individuals and groups within the gambling sector
